On "A Country of Immigrants"

This is kind of all over the place so be patient.
I am so tired of hearing talking heads saying that we are a "nation of immigrants." Both sides always appear to agree with this statement.
This country was started by Immigrants along with just about every other nation on the globe.
If I am an immigrant, then would someone tell me from where I immigrated from. I was born here, my mother and father were born here and my maternal and paternal grandparents were born here.
For some reason everyone during an immigration debate always bows down to the "nation of immigrants" statement, instead of asking the person they are debating, how many generations does it take to not be considered an immigrant.
This country is here for people of all races and religions to assimilate. If this country was founded by any other faith other than the Christian faith, there would not be any other religion allowed. If anyone can just come here at any time, dragging their culture and language with them, then we will have nothing but Chaos.
Years ago, people used to come to this country and integrate into it and become an American instead of coming here illegally and trying to change my country to suit them.
President Obama said that being an American Citizen is not about being born here, but it is a thing of faith. HUH?
We do not need to have another "path to citizenship." This to the Left just means amnesty. We already have a path to citizenship. It should be pretty simple, if your here illegally, no benefits, NONE. Go home! Then get in line.
I'm not sorry that I was born here, I truly thank God for it every day and know that I am very fortunate to have been born here. With that being said, I know the reason others want to come here, but it HAS to be done legally for this country to continue to exist. I can not just go into someones house just because it is larger and more extravagant than mine. I have to get permission.
I know this little rant of mine is not going to go anywhere, but I do feel a little better typing it.
